Band Instruments

Ever  wonder  why  it's  important  for  kids  to  play the flute,  trumpet or violin in school? 
Physician and biologist Lewis Thomas studied the undergraduate majors of medical school
applicants, indicating that music majors were most successful in being admitted to medical
school.  He found that 66% of music majors who applied to medical school were admitted, the
highest percentage of any group.  By comparison, 44% of biochemistry majors were admitted.
